Who Rescued Who was founded by two passionate women brought together by their love for animals and their belief that compassion can change communities.
We rescue dogs and cats from shelters, unsafe conditions, and the streets, often from Caribbean islands where resources are limited and bring them to safety where they can receive medical care, rehabilitation, and loving foster homes.
Working with trusted rescue partners in the Caribbean and across Canada, we help transport animals to safety and prepare them for loving forever homes.
Every animal deserves a second chance at life, and with the help of our volunteers, fosters, and supporters, we work every day to make that possible.

From The Bahamas to Nova Scotia: New Beginnings
Every rescue journey brings new beginnings, and we have some wonderful news to share!
During our recent trip to The Bahamas, Who Rescued Who NS worked alongside dedicated rescue teams and partners to help prepare dogs for their journey to Nova Scotia. From coordinating transportation and veterinary requirements to making sure each animal has a safe place waiting, these efforts remind us how much can be accomplished when people come together for animals in need.
We have two wonderful adoptions to celebrate! Cinnamon and Hanna have both found their forever homes! Cinnamon, who was rescued from a Texas shelter euthanasia list, has been given the loving home she deserves. And Hanna, our sweet 65-pound gentle giant, has also found her family. We couldn't be happier for these two special girls and the people who have welcomed them into their lives.
And there are more new arrivals on the way!
On October 23rd, threeadorable 5-month-old puppies, Suse, Angie, and Adam will be arriving in Nova Scotia and looking for their forever families.
Susie is a playful, energetic Heeler/Australian Shepherd mix who is ready for a family that will enjoy her enthusiasm for life. Angie and Adam are beautiful labs who are hoping to find a loving home where they can grow, learn, and become part of a family.
Both girls are spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines.
Our rescue work continues, with more dogs preparing to make their journey from The Bahamas to Nova Scotia on November 8th. Each one has a different story, but they all share the same hope: finding a safe, loving home and a family of their own.
None of these journeys would be possible without the dedication of our rescue partners, volunteers, foster families, veterinary teams, transport partners, donors, and supporters.
Every helping hand brings another animal closer to a new beginning.
Every adoption is a reason to celebrate, and every new arrival is another opportunity to change a life.

A Howl-O-Ween to Remember!
Our Who Rescued Who NS family came together for a wonderful afternoon of Halloween fun, adorable costumes, and plenty of wagging tails!
We welcomed adopters, their furry companions, and members of the community to our Halloween photoshoot and fundraiser. With pumpkins, festive decorations, and professional photographers capturing special moments, it was a lovely opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces and celebrate the animals and families who are part of our growing rescue community.
Guests enjoyed snacks, dressed their dogs in Halloween costumes, and had the opportunity to make a donation in exchange for professional family photographs.
Together, we raised $470 to support our ongoing animal rescue efforts!
A special thank you to Good Old Days Productions, who generously volunteered their time and talents to photograph the event and edit the beautiful images. We're also grateful to Selling by the Sea for providing the adorable Halloween dog bandanas that made our furry guests look even more festive.
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who attended, brought their dogs, made a donation, or helped spread the word. Seeing so many familiar furry faces and catching up with our adopters reminded us how special this rescue community has become.
Every donation helps us continue providing animals in need with the care and opportunities they deserve.
We're already looking forward to next pumpkin season!

More Than a Rescue Trip
When a rescue animal arrives safely in Nova Scotia or finally meets the family who will call them their own, we get to celebrate a beautiful moment. But behind every arrival and every adoption are weeks and sometimes months of work.
More than 100 animals helped. More than 40 rescue trips. Spay and neuter clinics, foster homes, veterinary care, transportation, volunteers, partnerships, and countless people working together.
